A wave of AI-assisted writing tools shipped in 2023 with a single, dishonest promise: that they could make your AI draft undetectable. They marketed themselves as a way around the checks teachers and editors actually use. They sold the shortcut.

We think that's the wrong product. The shortcut works for exactly one assignment — the one you don't have to defend out loud, the one that doesn't lead to anything. The moment a conversation begins, a student who can't explain their own paragraph sounds exactly like a student who didn't write it. The shortcut is a trapdoor, not an exit.

What DraftGuard does

We read your draft sentence by sentence. We point at the openings that read like every other AI essay this semester. We point at the claims that quietly need a citation. We point at the polish that suggests no human under deadline. Then we offer rewrites — in modes you choose — that preserve your meaning while putting your voice back into the prose.

We don't fabricate. We don't invent personal experiences for your application essay. We don't hallucinate a citation to support a claim you made up. When something is missing — a real example, a real source — we leave a placeholder and ask for it. The author is still you.

What DraftGuard won't do

• Promise to fool any specific detector. No detector, including ours, can guarantee a result.
• Provide tactics to evade Turnitin or any academic integrity tool. If you ask, we redirect.
• Generate fake citations, statistics, quotes, or experiences. The system is instructed to refuse, and the prompt enforces it.
• Replace your judgment about whether to submit work you can't defend. That decision is on you.

Who this is for

Three audiences pay our rent, in order: undergraduates with a weekly essay schedule; ESL writers who use AI to scaffold English they can read but can't yet produce; and applicants with one short, high-stakes essay they want to sound like themselves. The tools are designed around their actual workflows — fast triage, sentence-level rewrites, plain English options, citation reminders.

How we're priced

The free tier is enough to triage one draft a day. Pro is for writers who do this every week. Credits are for the one-paper-a-month type. There is no "guaranteed pass" tier because that product doesn't exist, and we won't pretend otherwise. See pricing.

Who we are
